Linda Diaz

PHD, NCC, LPC-S

Mary Linda Diaz is a bilingual (English and Spanish) speaker and counselor supervisor residing in Corpus Christi, Texas. She received her Ph.D. in counseling education with the emphasis in psychology, Master of Science in counseling, and Bachelor of Science in psychology all from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC).

She provides effective and evidence-based therapy services to adolescents and adults with anxiety, panic attacks, depression, alcohol and drug addiction, and other behavioral disorders. She additionally conducts and prepares immigration psychosocial assessments for undocumented immigrant applicants seeking permanent residency in the United States and conducts mental health examinations for Social Security applicants.

Dr. Diaz worked with the Texas Criminal Justice Department for over 25 years, credentialed four years for the United States Department of Navy, and was previously Director for the San Patricio County Substance Abuse Treatment Facility. Dr. Diaz is currently in private practice in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Dr. Diaz has volunteered with Catholic Charities, as Disaster Mental Health Regional Lead for the American Red Cross, and as past president of The Council of Alcohol and Drug Abuse-Coastal Bend. She is active as a lector and eucharistic minister for St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, served as vice regent and treasurer twice for the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and individual assignments from the Diocese of Corpus Christi. She is a member of the American Red Cross, American Counseling Association, Anxiety and Depression Association of America, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing International Association (EMDRIA), and the American Psychotherapy Association.
